When it comes to café in the CBD, you definitely need to visit this quirky café at the corner of Wills Street.
Operator25 is one of my favourite cafés in the city for a reason. You can trust their innovative menu for a good and unique culinary experience. My favourite item from their new menu is the Brazilian Seafood Curry ($22.00). It’s not too spicy yet it’s enough to intrigue your palette. Smoked Sardines ($17.00) and Polenta Soldiers with added bacon ($21.00) make healthier alternatives. I love their precise and creative use of spices creating spectacular yet subtle taste that match every dishes well.
Its coffee is spot on, so is its Iced Chocolate ($6.00). And for fellow lovers of their Sweet Potato Wedges, fret not. Their delicious wedges aren’t going anywhere. Just ask them for it (even if they aren’t listed on the menu) and you’ll be served.
The only downside is the waiting time and queue. It’s always a great experience dining at Operator25 but if you’re looking for something quick, it’ll probably be better to head elsewhere. They are alway busy, especially so during the weekends, and wait time could go up to an hour.
