Nomz Kitchen & Pastry serves modern fusion food and pastries by celebrity Chef Arnold Poernomo, from Master Chef Indonesia and Pastry Chef Kim Pangestu. Located at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.
Ready to Nomz?
Hi, city walkers! We’ve been to Nomz Kitchen & Pastry a couple times with our best buds now. We really love their dessert. And we just can’t move on. Especially from their Baileys Eclair (IDR 38k). Nomz..
So here we are.. Introducing the contemporary restaurant located at Grand Indonesia East Mall, Ground Floor. Another hipster hang-out place in Grand Indonesia. Few walks away from the famous (and our favourite) Red Velvet Cake from Union Deli. Two birds one stone.
Nomz Jakarta Specialty
We’ve never been to Nomz for its kitchen menu. Sorry, Chef Arnold! We’d love to try your fusion menu one day.
We heard good things about their Crazy Rice on Wagyu Sirloin (IDR 135k). We’ve been wondering what’s this crazy sauce everyone talks about. Risotto Escargot (IDR 125) sounds amazing, too. Next on my list is the Salted Egg Yolk Lava Signature Croissant (IDR 30k).
For now what we can tell you for certain is Nomz Jakarta is a good place to hang with your friends over tea and sweets. You can’t go wrong with Baileys Eclair (IDR 38k). A deliciously crispy puff pastry with a hint of baileys in its smooth cream. We dare bet you’d love it, too!
We love their Caterpillar (IDR 48k), a chocolate sponge cake with passionfruit, crispy balls, chocolate mousse and chocolate glaze. Organic Carrot Cake (IDR 53k) doesn’t disappoint, if you are looking for something less sweet and more healthy.
What Could Be Improved
We love Nomz but, let’s be honest. It’s expensive. We know the price is reasonable to the value of Chef Arnold from Master Chef Indonesia. And their concept of fine dining experience.
Still.. It’s a high-end hang-out place. It’s not somewhere you can go every weekend, unless you’re loaded. Also, though we don’t particularly fancy their dark ambience, it would be perfect for a date night.
Overall, Nomz Kitchen & Pastry is something you have to try. At least once. It’s a good option for coffee and tea dates. It’s expensive, so choose your menu right and make it worth every penny.
