I get asked about the things that one must do in Melbourne often, and for the love of Melbourne’s brunch and coffee culture, I’ve consistently answered café hopping. So when one of my baby girls came to visit, I naturally took her on café hunting and pigging out sessions. Scroll the gallery for photos of our ventures around North Melbourne.
We started with exploring Operator25’s innovative and quirky menu. My personal favourites are the Brazillian Seafood Curry ($22) and Polenta Soldiers with added bacon ($21). Read more about Operator25 here.
Our little ventures around North Melbourne include visiting the must go cafés – Twenty & Six Espresso, Auction Rooms, Fandango and Mörk Chocolate. Auction Room’s Maple and Coffee Glaze Bacon Steak ($5) and Chilled Layered Chocolate ($8) from Mörk blew our minds! Definitely the must try items when in Melbourne!
We explored Queen Victoria Market and headed down to Brighton Beach Bathing Houses before stuffing ourselves further with Queen Victoria Market Churros and Laurent Bakery’s Lemon Meringue Tart.
Yes, we ate that much in such a short time! Café hopping doesn’t get any better than this!
