A repost of my day out exploring Melbourne – mainly Fitzroy and Docklands, with an old friend from Singapore.
Recalling the time when I finally got to meet an old friend after over a year – at that point of time. Another year has passed since then but I could still recall the joy of spending the day eating and wandering aimlessly around the city with one tenth of jokes. – a group of friends I met during my studies in Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore. Pure happiness.
I recalled feeling grateful for our unchanging friendship. And how I love the fact that our short hangout was just like the old comfortable times. Despite the long time spent away from each other, Shaun and I spent the day talking nonsense and laughing over nothing. Though we’ve outgrown our old jokes self, it doesn’t feel like much of us have changed at the same time. Strange, isn’t it?
I truly hope that Shaun, I and the rest of jokes will continue trying to be the best versions of ourselves each day, and continue to have each other to count on despite the time and distance between us.
