Sharing with you one of my favourite brunch spots in Melbourne. There's no better place to spend the afternoon and bask in the glorious sun.

Sharing with you one of my favourite brunch spots in Melbourne. Now spring has sprung, I can’t think of a better place to spend the afternoon and bask in the glorious sun.

Sharing with you one of my favourite brunch spots in Melbourne. There's no better place to spend the afternoon and bask in the glorious sun.

NSHRY (pronounced as noshery) is a chic and hip dining location that is perfect for Saturday brunch date or any dates in that matter. Unlike most hip cafes in Melbourne, NSHRY boasts the distinction of being situated by the beachside in Albert Park featuring alfresco dining to bask in the sun and/or a romantic dinner service during the summer.

Accompanying the beautiful location is a menu that testify the eatery’s commitment to constantly create and serve quality nosh that does not only look good but also satiates. NSHRY’s menu is also a fully fledged testament to the chef’s imaginative culinary flair and adventurous palate as new noshes are added every few weeks.

NSHRY offers a variety of fusion dishes featuring the subtle influence from Asian cuisine including Fragrant Vietnamese Beef Soup ($19.50) with thinly sliced wagyu, slow braised ox tail, mint, coriander on udon noodles; Miso Marinated Lamb Shoulder Pie ($21.00), slowly braised in red wine and onions with a mung bean and edamame mash and pickled crudités; and Green-tea Soba Noodle Pasta ($19.00) with seasonal mixed mushrooms, thai basil, garlic cream-white wine sauce with smoky mushroom duxelle and pecorino cheese.

However, your NSHRY experience isn’t complete without trying Umami Burger ($22.00). It is by far the best Wagyu burger in town. Made of 200g Wagyu and Angus beef cooked to medium rare, Umami rub, brown mushroom sauce, gruyere, caramelised onions, oven roasted tomato and a parmesan crisp; the burger is served with sweet brioche bun, beer battered chips, slaw (may contain traces of nuts), cornichons, spicy chip dip, tomato sauce and wasabi kewpie.

The panko crumbed corn and zucchini Fritters ($19.00) served with smoked salmon, smashed avocado, a poached egg and wasabi kewpie is a great alternative for those looking for a light and refreshing meal. The Fritters is also not oily making it a good choice for the health conscious.
