The 10 things every fashion and pop culture fans must add to their shopping list – including furniture, arts and fashion collectibles.
1. Modernica x Cleon Peterson Daybed
There’s only a hundred of this contemporary daybed.
Produced in collaboration with artist Cleon Peterson – who is known for his dramatic black and white murals depicting the power struggle in today’s society; Modernica Daybed’s sleek, modern and minimal design comes with added sociocultural values. I just can’t help but want one.
2. Katsushika Hokusai Bearbrick
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of International Ukiyo-e Society in Japan was a special exhibition showcasing masterpieces by Japanese artists. Medicom Toy joined in the celebration by launching 2 Katsushika Hokusai inspired Bearbricks to be exclusively sold at the exhibition. Hokusai is one of the most famous ukiyo-e artists from Japan known for his woodprints, which capture the essence of Japanese landscape and culture.
Hokusai’s Beneath The Wave and Fine Wind, Clear Morning are printed on little bear-shaped brick toy in 400% and 100% figure respectively. I really want them!
3. Pop Chart Lab’s Scratch Off Poster
Really love the idea of a scratch-off poster of novels, which you can scratch off the book covers as you read them. Keeping track of all the classics I have and have yet read couldn’t get easier!
4. Westelm Hemming Swivel Armchair
Modern and fashionable, this one is the swivel armchair I’m looking for my dream home. You can purchase it here.

6. Colour Changing Adidas Stan Smith
The UV Activated Leather causes this Stan Smith to change colour under different lights. Ain’t your usual tennis sneak, yo!
7. Miu Miu Tortoise Sunnies
I’ve wanted a tortoise cat eye sunnies for a long time now. Miu Miu 10NS in Brown and Grey is a classic piece that goes well with anything and everything.
8. BigBang10 A-Z Exhibition
Personally curated by Bigbang members, Bigbang10 A-Z Exhibition displays some of the arts that are produced by the group. Artists job is creating art, and that is why I love Bigbang so.
The snippets from the members’ Instagram seem to suggest how the members are inspired by existing contemporary arts – appropriately borrowing concepts to represent and explore pop culture while giving new personalised meanings their fans could easily relate to.
To me, it’s just brilliant because there’s nothing new under the sun. Successfully embedding their interests and characters creating intimate pieces while mimicking the duality of their reality and criticising the pop culture, the exhibition is personal as much as it is universal. No wonder Bigbang is the most respectable K-pop act in the world. Much respect.

9. Sonja Robar “Beach Walkers”
Peaceful soft palette of my favourite colours. Modern, simple and minimal. “Beach Walkers” is a perfect piece for me to show my personality and goes well with the rest of the interior. Really want to see this hanging on my wall.
10. 8″ x G-Dragon
A Korean fashion line, 8 Seconds is collaborating with G-Dragon – a world renown artist known for his sick rap, producing and fashion sense – in time for his iconic 8 August birthday. I want a few items on the list already but the shipping fee is a total rip off. Collection is available at SSF Shop.
