I’m sure many of you have felt like escaping reality and simply unwind after a long week of drama. Instinctively I purchased a ticket, packed my bag and left for Sydney’s most iconic spots. Though I received quite a lecture from who-else-but-mum, all I wanted since then is another spontaneous weekend trip!
1. Sydney Opera House
Definitely not to be missed. I always spend a fair amount of time here for the beautiful shades of blue at noon and twinkling city lights at night calm are my ultimate food for soul. Possibly my favourite place on earth, so far.

Fresh seafood at a bargain? I’m so sold.

3. Sydney Ferries, Darling Harbour & Circular Quay
Other favourite activities while in Sydney are hanging around Darling Harbour and Circular Quay, embracing the sun and watching the world passes by at the Opera Bar, enjoying the breeze and relaxing on board of a Sydney ferry. Oh, what a lovely day.

4. Queen Victoria Building
Walking around Sydney made me realise the gravity of Australia’s architecture. Scattered around the city, you’ll never run out of reasons to stand still, appreciate and bask in its glory. Queen Victoria Building is one of the most majestic buildings in the city.

5. Taronga Zoo
An adorable tiny wallaby has lived in my heart ever since my last Sydney trip with a
lovely friend, Zhiwei years back. Well, it’s about time to collect the rent. You with me?

6. Blue Mountain
The view on top would be a lot more beautiful if I were to have enough time hiking and exploring the different tracks. A pity that I had it easy (with day tour bus) due to time constraint, really. Would love to be back with loved ones and take on the challenge next time.
